Business Profile:

 

The newest addition to a family of automotive companies, Polycote Inc. is a state-of-the-art metal finishing facility dedicated to the automotive industry. The company joins its affiliates Metex Heat Treating, a 40,000 tons/year heat treating facility located in Brampton, Ontario, and Durasort, a containment and packaging company for Tier I and II suppliers.

Polycote is looking for individuals that are interested in joining a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing company. Polycote specializes in state-of-the-art coating technologies. The company provides custom performance coating services to automotive and industrial customers. The available processes include: Electrostatic Powder spray, Fluidized bed, Plastisol and PVC, Sandblasting, VibraFinish, Sub-assembly, and Dip Applications. The organization is also proud to offer its customers with high quality finishes using enhanced zinc phosphate pretreatments.

 

Position Description:

 

• Develop monthly reporting to facilitate ongoing analysis of AR portfolio to ensure integrity, identify trends and determine impact of seasonality of business model on portfolio

• Develop credit risk reporting to measure performance of customer segments

• Develop financial models to conduct in-depth analysis for identification of trends, changes in credit thresholds / payment methods

• Model cash receipts cycle and provide ongoing forecast of cash receipts based on

outstanding receivables, seasonal billings and applicable targets

• Develop reporting and maintain compensating controls for outsourced AR portfolios

• Liaise with outsource partners as needed

• Analyze operating results and performance metrics to measure progress against

objectives and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies. Highlight areas for improvement

and make recommendations to reduce bad debt expense

• Identify growth opportunities to expand customer base while maintaining credit risk at an acceptable level

• Participate in periodic forecasting and budgeting requests

• Work with Finance to perform monthly reconciliations of AR general ledger and sub

ledger

• Review and communicate financial and analysis results with senior finance staff

• Review and monitor internal controls, recommend improvements to policies and

procedures and update relevant documentation

• Completion of ad-hoc projects and reports as required

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Previous experience as a business analyst

• Progressive and solid work history with 1-2 years experience in Accounts Receivable,

Credit and Collection

• Exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills

• Solid MS Office Software skills, including databases (SQL)

• A proven track record of participation in process and efficiency improvement initiatives

• Undergraduate university degree in Finance, Accounting or Business

• Experience with Automotive Industry an asset
